I took Hound Town to Sydney back in April and was lucky enough to create my very first mural.

Each scene features an element of Bondi and a Sydney dog I know or met from there.

Millie the Bichon Frese cross Maltese who I met at El Indio one night (she was sitting exactly like this on one of the chairs, HAD to include).

It was a few late late nights and pretty long days.

It was pencil in frozen fingers and paintbrush in blowing hair.

It was multiple trips to buy more paint (thanks Julie for the car!)

It was the back and forth through the restaurant changing brush colours (thanks @el_indio_bondi this saved me!!)

It was hangs with Paco and entertaining the godson (thank god for iPads).

It was frantically painting outlines while my right hand girl lent a brush hand to paint fills.

It was charming conversations with kids - explaining to them that I draw dogs for a living.

It was watching my large scale piece come to life with passers by, incredibly satisfying.

I will be turning this mural into a children’s book so keep your eyes peeled for that one!
